xtoxictears asked: Hiya, I've found a fuzzy little caterpillar and I can't seem to identify it. I haven't got a picture yet, may look for him tomorrow and take one, but from what I've seen he looks a lot like a Duke of Burgandy, but apparently these are only found in southern england and I live in Northern Ireland.:| Any ideas?

What kind of Critterpillar is this?
“I saw this adorable little critter in front of my house this afternoon? What is it, Andrea?” Hi Antropop!!  I don’t recognize your fatty and this head-on angle isn’t helping.  I thought maybe Imperial Moth Caterpillar or maybe even Luna Moth Caterpillar.  But I just don’t know!  I don’t see a “horn” coming out of his butt so we can rule out the...

sbuehrer asked: Hi, I'm an art student in Cleveland who's working on an entomological field guide as part of my senior thesis and I'm trying to get some input. Are there any particular references you use and what changes would you make to them if you could?

kreetchurz-deactivated20111114 asked: Hey Andrea. I live in Southern California on a golf course, and I've always had a love of jumping spiders--for the most part, they're the ones that got rid of my arachnophobia. On a friend's insistance, I took a close look at the face and fell in absolute love. I've always wondered what they are, however. They're little black-grey jumping spiders with white markings on the...

eleanormal asked: Would you be able to identify a bug from a description? I live in Northern California near the coast and the other day I saw a beetle that was the exact shape and size of a ladybug but with a coppery color and a metallic sheen. My friend (who was annoyed I had stopped to look at bugs) thought that it was dead or that it had been painted, but it was definitely alive and when I looked around there...

molecricket asked: I debated the same thing with my crickets but ultimately decided to let them go once they were fully grown with wings. But I never would have gotten rid of Belinda my hissing cockroach, obviously, and she came pregnant against my knowledge! So things worked out anyway? I'm debating letting go my praying mantis, Athena, but.
