More on girl power….
Anytime you see a wasp, bee or ant with a stinger- again, you know she’s a she…
Males cannot sting.  The stinger itself evolved from an organ called an Ovipositor.  This is what the insects use to deposit their eggs and it is solely female.  Since the workers in social wasp/bee/ant societies are sterile and have no use for it, it has evolved into a powerful tool of defense packed with venom to protect their societies.
