My African Mantis sizing up a Superworm and trying to decide if she can handle it.  Turns out it was too big to handle so I fed it to Josephine the scorpion.

I swear my Double Shield Mantis is silently judging me.

I had to find housing for the three Mantis nymphs I found last week so my African Mantis got an upgrade!  I bought this nice home from the reptile show, I’m pretty sure it’s meant for Tarantulas, but my Mantis doesn’t seem to mind.  It’s a lot nicer than the Tupperware I had her in before.

I fed the mantis nymph the Bagrada Bugs and she quickly attacked them, took a few nibbles, then wasn’t interested anymore.  Orange coloration sometimes means a foul taste and since these bugs are a type of stink bug I’m going to guess that is what turned her off.
