My African Mantis sizing up a Superworm and trying to decide if she can handle it.  Turns out it was too big to handle so I fed it to Josephine the scorpion.

Cleaning time..

I had to find housing for the three Mantis nymphs I found last week so my African Mantis got an upgrade!  I bought this nice home from the reptile show, I’m pretty sure it’s meant for Tarantulas, but my Mantis doesn’t seem to mind.  It’s a lot nicer than the Tupperware I had her in before.

I ran out of bug containers today because there were so many good bug finds! So I was a little nervous having three Mantis nymphs in such a small container.  I was begging, please don’t eat your sister…but everyone made it home safely and they are now in a larger home with plenty of fruit flies to eat (I’m actually wondering if the wingless fruitflies will be too big! I may have to go aphid hunting).  So cute.  Now I have 5 Mantid mouths to feed + Kim the Black Widow.

Look what I found today!!!  I brought three home from one of the orange trees at school. They must have just hatched because there were dozens of them all over it! SO tiny!!  Many more photos to come.
